I am Dr. Sarah A. Wahab, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, California.
My training and experience have focused on working with children, adults, couples, and families. In Los Angeles, I worked at the Ronald McDonald House, Family Support Services, supporting individuals and families in crisis and providing supervision to doctoral students. I have also worked in school settings, collaborating with teachers, pediatricians, and psychiatrists to support students. Later, I served as Clinical Director at a residential substance use disorder treatment center, where I provided care and guidance for individuals, families and staff.
In my practice, I primarily work from a Bowen family systems perspective, using a differentiation approach to help clients better understand relational patterns and strengthen their sense of self. I also incorporate evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed approaches.
My style is strength-based and collaborative, with the goal of helping individuals and families gain insight, clarify goals, and make meaningful changes.
It is a privilege to walk alongside clients in this work, and I strive to create a supportive and authentic therapeutic space where growth and connection can take place.
If you have questions or are wondering whether therapy might be a good fit, I welcome you to reach out—I would be glad to connect with you.
