My practice is located in Vienna/Tysons corner area. The address is 8296 Old Courthouse Rd. , Suite C Vienna, VA 22182.
There is plenty of convenient parking. My office is located on the ground floor, with the entrance to the Suite behind the staircase. When you arrive please make yourself comfortable in the waiting room and I will greet you there.
My practice hours are Monday through Thursday during daytime and afternoon hours, with limited evenings availability upon request. All sessions are by appointment only.
I meet with clients primarily in person, but also offer virtual sessions and, when helpful, a hybrid model.
I am an out-of-network provider and do not participate with any insurance plans. However, I provide clients with a detailed statement (often called a superbill) that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I encourage you to check your out-of-network benefits directly to learn more about your out-of-network benefits.
In our first session, we’ll spend time exploring what brought you to therapy and what you’d like to get out of the process. I will ask about aspects of your personal and family history to better understand your background and current concerns. Because I primarily use a family systems approach, we will also begin creating a family diagram (called a genogram), which allows us to look at patterns and dynamics in your family history that may still be influencing you today. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
Intake sessions (the initial meeting) are scheduled for 60 minutes for individuals, and 90 minutes for couples and families.
Ongoing sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly basis for 45 or 60 minutes . As progress is made, sessions may move to a biweekly or less frequent schedule before treatment ends. Ongoing couples/family sessions are typically scheduled for 90 minutes. In some cases, sessions can be scheduled for longer when discussed in advance.
The length of treatment varies for each person and is difficult to predict at the start. It depends on several factors, including the frequency of meetings, the severity of symptoms, the goals you are working toward, and how much you’re able to apply what we discuss in sessions to your daily life. Some clients find shorter-term therapy helpful for specific concerns, while others benefit from longer-term work to support deeper growth and change.
Session length and frequency are a collaborative decision.
I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and relationship issues.
