Individual therapy for teens & adults

In individual therapy, I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can reflect, heal, and grow. From a family systems perspective, we explore how your experiences and relationships have shaped the patterns in your life. This often includes a process of compassionate self-confrontation—gently becoming curious about your own part in relational dynamics and how these patterns impact your well-being. Together, we’ll identify what keeps you feeling stuck and build on your strengths to create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and empathic, helping you gain insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, I provide a safe and supportive space where partners can better understand themselves and each other. Working from a family systems and strength-based perspective, we examine the patterns that shape your relationship and the ways each partner contributes to the dynamic. Through compassionate self-confrontation, you’ll be invited to reflect on your own role with curiosity rather than judgment, while also deepening empathy for your partner. Together, we focus on reducing blame, clarifying shared goals, and creating a healthier balance between caring for yourself and caring for your partner. Couples often find this work helps reduce codependent patterns, enhance each partner’s sense of self, and build a more connected, resilient relationship.

Family Therapy

I help families explore patterns that shape their relationships and work toward healthier ways of connecting. With a family systems and strength-based approach, we focus on reducing conflict, building empathy, and balancing individuality with closeness. Family therapy can include your nuclear family, family of origin, adult family, or other meaningful combinations of loved ones, all with the goal of fostering resilience and stronger connections.

Parent Consultation & guidance

I provide parent consultation and co-parenting support in Vienna, VA, to help parents address challenges at every stage of child development. Whether short-term or ongoing, this service strengthens parenting strategies, reduces conflict, and empowers you to feel more confident and supported.

My Treatment approach

My work is grounded in a Bowen-based family systems perspective, which emphasizes the importance of understanding relationship patterns, intergenerational influences, and the balance between individuality and connection. This lens allows us to explore how your relationships and experiences shape your current challenges, while fostering insight, growth, and healthier connections.

Alongside this systems approach, I incorporate evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. Integrating these modalities ensures treatment is tailored to your needs, offering both practical skills and deeper self-reflection. My goal is to provide a collaborative, supportive, and effective therapeutic process that helps you move toward lasting change and well-being.

Clinical Diagnoses

I provide therapy for individuals experiencing a range of mental health diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Whether you are coming in with a prior diagnosis or are wondering if your symptoms may indicate one, I offer support in understanding your experiences, developing coping strategies, and making meaningful changes. My approach integrates a family systems lens with evidence-based practices to foster insight, resilience, and growth.

Common Concerns

Clients often seek therapy to manage anxiety, depression, feelings of burnout, or the stress of coping with their own or a loved one’s mental illness. Many come in to address relationship challenges, including gridlock, boundary-setting, and conflict at home or work. I also work with clients navigating major life transitions, such as starting college or adjusting to new roles and responsibilities. Parenting concerns are another common focus, whether related to raising children or navigating the complexities of co-parenting. In addition, therapy can provide support for self-esteem, identity exploration, finding a sense of purpose, and coping with self-harming behaviors.
